thanks for the nice plugin. It worked will until last update. On my Blog-Page, i only get last entry (last blog) if activated. If i deactivate the plugin, all is working fine. Also I get, if activated, on my blogpage with colorways theme below the last blog entry the Title and Content of the blog template page itself… I think there is a compatibility Problem with colorways theme. Is there a way to fix it?

newest Update 2013-05-14 : I downloaded colorway theme and I do a test, this free wordpress tooltips plugin and the pro version works well with the colorway theme, so it should not caused by my plugin.

The new version of the plugin messes up with the human_time_diff function (that shows the time of the posts in the form of ” published 10 minutes ago”). When updated, the plugin makes every post in the site to show the same time – as if the same posts are published 10 minutes ago.
Is there a way to fix it? If not, where I can download the previous version of the plugin? Thank you.

When I add a url to the tooltip content is shows up fine but once the user’s mouse leaves the keyword to click on the link, the tooltip disappears so they can not click on the link… any help would be great… love the plugin

The tooltips work fine in FireFox but in IE8 I need to refresh the page before the tooltips will appear.

Is there anyway to specify the tool tip on some images and not all images that contain an alt title. At the minute the tooltip is appearing on all my images. I only want it to appear on some. Can you help?
Hi, thanks for the message, yes, the old version will not show all alt as tooltips, there are some guy requested and said this is more easier to use, I guess this is a wrong way, I will try to find a way to allow users to choose, but if so this will make the plugin too “complex”, I hate “complex” solution, I believe it need be a very simple and very easy to use, once get a idea will write a new version, thanks for the suggestion again.

I try to embed a video from Vimeo.com as iframe code in autoplay mode… Everything works ok until I switch to a different Tab in my Safari. My video starts to continue playing. When I switch back to the Tab with my wordpress and I mouseover my tag, than I can see the Vimeo player continues playing. Althought the Tooltip disapeard, but the vimeo player plays the video in the bacground (as hidden object). Is there a chance to “repair” it?
Hi, I understand when you move mouse to the video tooltips, the video will begin play, this is not the problem of tooltips plugin, you should copy the vimeo video code which not play automatically, so everything will be okay.

I’ve tested several tool tip plugins, and this one is really near to what I’m looking for.
Compared to Glossy,
This is really cool if you have an older blog with lots of articles.
1. I don’t need to edit older posts because tooltips works automagically
2. On the other hand, my posts will be filled up with tool tips… (i.e. every occurance of the word). With Glossy I can decide where to put the tooltip.
3. I also don’t have to edit my posts at all.
4. Theres no [gs tooltip_this], so my article remains clean (good for export etc).
5. I’m not quite sure what Google says about [bla keyword].
6. Unfortunately, Tooltip only shows the tip. With Glossy, I can put my cursor into the box and click on a link or mark/copy text
questions/suggestions:
1. How do I create a glossary (list of tooltip entries)in the frontend (Would be great, if sorted alphabetically, and if it would have a clickable alphabetical index, entries should also be found by search engine and internal search function)
2. It would also be great if you could make it use of Tippy (like Glossy does). This produces nice, customizable boxes with a link title and a close button.

I’ve looked at the SQL, but you’re using just one field for all entries, so reformatting our CSV is not really an option.

I would suggest three improvements:
- order the Tooltips alphabetically (by keywords)
- make the simple quote character allowed in keywords (eg. Let’s try)
- be able to turn the plugin off for a list of posts (ideally having “Include in” and “Exclude ni” fields.

I would love to use your plugin to add some additional functionality to our web present theme. What I am trying to achieve is to insert a tooltip on every post thumbnail image in which to show the excerpt field with larger post thumb. Right now I would like to switch to a framework that is called ThemeHybrid and I am absolutely happy with it, however the best advice I have received from the framework developers as well as from the hybrid-community was to contact you directly and ask for your advice.
Here is how I am trying to accomplish the showing of images and the tooltip, however so far I have only managed to show the images but no tooltip:

In this example the .get_the_image() function is the one that pulls out the post thumbs from the database, however I do not know where did I go wrong so the tooltip is not showing. For your information I am trying to insert the tooltip directly in the theme rather than in a post, so this is why I have used the function echo do_shortcode() .
So can you please give me an idea how can I properly insert the tooltip on mouseover the thumbs as according to the framework developer Justin Tadlock the problem is that the shorcodes expect html code but not the php one and this somehow messess the things. As you can see I have tried to escape from the php and to use the tooltip shortcode in html format, however the result is proofing that I have a lack of php skills or understanding how this particular plugin works.
Thanks in advance and I shall admit that using your plugin in my posts would do a really nice job. It is just if I can use it directly in my theme – that would be PERFECT!
